PraC-MARENG Plus Survey Report Now Available

The PraC-MARENG Plus – PRActical and Communication-based MARitime ENGlish project is pleased to announce that the Survey Report on Maritime English Communication Needs is now available on the project website.

The survey was conducted across the project partnership and targeted a wide range of stakeholders, including maritime professionals, maritime educators, students, and industry representatives. The aim of the survey was to identify current challenges, training needs, and expectations related to Maritime English communication, particularly in port and shore-based operational environments.

The findings of the report provide valuable insights into the communication situations and competencies required in the maritime sector. These results will directly contribute to the next stages of the project, including the development of Maritime English curriculum modules, digital learning materials, and scenario-based learning activities aligned with the Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP).

The survey outcomes will support the project’s objective of improving practical communication skills and digital learning opportunities in maritime education and training.
